Deco Wine Bar and Restaurant is currently seeking enthusiastic, reliable, and customer-focused individuals to join our Bar Team as a Bartender and Bar Assistant. This role is available on a full-time or casual basis.
The Position

You’ll support the bar team in delivering high-quality beverage service while creating a welcoming experience for every guest.
Key Duties
- Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
- Assisting bartenders with drink preparation and service
- Preparing and serving beverages in line with brand and RSA standards
- Maintaining cleanliness and organisation of the bar area
- Restocking bar supplies and monitoring inventory levels
- Providing friendly, attentive customer service to guests
- Handling payments and operating POS systems as required
- Ensuring compliance with health, safety, and alcohol regulations
- Assisting with opening and closing procedures
- Supporting the wider food and beverage team as needed
The Person
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Previous bartending experience (preferred)
- Strong knowledge of cocktails, spirits, and basic mixology
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- The ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- A current Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) certification (required)
- Flexible availability, including nights and weekends
- A positive, team-oriented attitude and strong attention to detail
This role involves standing for extended periods, lifting stock, and working during busy service times, so physical stamina and a proactive approach are essential.
